Restaurants I like: Jadalnia

Restauracja Jadalnia is one of my favourite restaurants in Poznan. And not just because of their great food with superb seasonal products.

Jadalnia has an ever changing menu, depending on the offer of fresh produce, that they post on their Facebook page daily.

Jadalnia is situated in a modern office building just outside of Poznan, behind the football stadium, on Grunwaldzka 182. They have their own parking garage (you can have your parking ticket validated upon departure so you don’t have to pay), tram stop in front, big open lay-out of the restaurant with an open kitchen and some tables and chairs on the outside terrace as well. I really like the industrial design of the restaurant and the continuously changing fresh flower arrangement (from Kwiat i Miut who are geniuses with flowers and hanging elements.

A very important feature for us is also that Jadalnia has a great children’s corner for the kids to play while we have a coffee, lunch or dinner. Oh, did I tell you about their cake? It’s to die for!! Jadalnia has it’s own pastry chef who makes the most amazing cakes. They have different ones every day and the always look gorgeous and taste delicious. No wonder we will have our wedding party in this restaurant 🙂

The place I like to sit most is a space (next to the kids area) with comfy retro chairs and lamp shades. It just looks so cosy and still very modern.

Since Jadalnia is located in an area (and building) with lots of start-ups and bigger (mainly IT-related) companies such as Allegro they offer quick, fresh and affordable lunches that you order at the counter. You can grap yourself free water with lemon and the food will be brought to your table. Dinner is more formal with a menu (on a board they bring to the table) and service while seated.11265530_999848766722442_570472272304354196_n

And they take care of the little ones taste as well 🙂2015-01-10 12.57.58

If you want to work while have cake or lunch; there are plenty of power outlets to charge your laptop and free WiFi. Although last time I was working there the WiFi connection didn’t seem to be very stable.
